I agree with Foster on this one!

Last week I read an article in the Sydney Morning Herald by Craig Foster “Tough tests of charackter lie ahead for next batch of pundits”.
I do not always agree with what Foster says. In particular, I did not like his comments regarding former Socceroos’ Coach, Pim Verbeek, during and after the South African world championships. The Dutchman almost became public enemy number one after his team lost to Germany. In a trice, the fact that he was instrumental in guiding the Australian team to its third world championships final in the nation’s history was forgotten. Craig was among Verbeek’s harshest critics who did not mince his words. At the time, I felt sorry for Pim and thought that he was treated extremely unfairly.
Foster’s recent article resonates well with me though. I share his thoughts about the responsibilities of using ones profile and platform for the good of the game. Foster is correct when he says:
“…Every word we utter or write must be to raise or further an issue that progresses the game or deepens the understanding of the [WATER POLO] community…”
